Swear to God? SWEAR TO ME!!!
Ok, so I saw Batman Begins on openning night. I'm not even going to describe it because I honestly don't think I can do it justice. But I'll try. SWEET CRAP IN A TIN LUNCHBOX IT WAS FANTASMIC!!!!!!!! (ok, the lunchbox part was from an issue of Wizard)
If you have ever liked the comic book, any one of the animated series', any of the old movies, hell even the old Adam West tv show, go see this movie. You will like it. You may love it. Performances were all well done. The mood was perfect. It was a fantastic piece of film.
In fact, it's the best comic book movie I have ever seen. And no, that is not some kind of over-statement. It is just that good. So, if you haven't seen it, or even if you have, go see it. It's well worth the money.
Finally, the Batman movie franchise is reguvinated. Now if we can get people working an the crappy 'The Batman' cartoon, and get Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb back onto the comic, we'll be in good shape in all aspects of the Bat.
Oh, and in the movie, there is a lot of back story, which is good. You really get to see Bruce Wayne evolving the bat. Yes, that's my phraze. "Evolving the bat." I just think it sounds cool.
